The Atlanta Braves announced today the promotional schedule for the Final Season at Turner Field, which kicks off on Monday, April 4, against the Washington Nationals. Promotions during the 2016 season will include postgame concerts, gate giveaways, theme nights and more.
Highlights of the 2016 promotional schedule include bobbleheads that commemorate key moments in Turner Field history as part of the final season celebrations. Starting in April, the first will be a talking bobblehead playing famous calls by Skip Caray and Pete Van Wieren; followed by Andruw Jones' spiderman catch in 1999; Chipper Jones' homerun during the 2000 All-Star Game at Turner Field; and Bobby Cox being carried off in 2010 after the Braves clinched the NL Wild Card during his final season as manager. These bobbleheads will be marked with the Final Season at Turner Field logo and available for the first 20,000 people through the gates.
Other promotions that fans won't want to miss are the 7th annual Alumni Weekend, a 1991 "Worst-to-First" NLCS replica ring giveaway presented by NAPA Auto Parts and the return of Star Wars Night and Bark in the Park.
Every weekend at Turner Field throughout the regular season, fans will be treated to Friday Night Fireworks presented by Georgia Lottery, Alumni Sundays presented by Hyundai, and Kids Run the Bases presented by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
