Rangers' Spring Training report dates announced

ARLINGTON -- Rangers pitchers and catchers will report to Spring Training on Feb. 18, according to the complete schedule announced by Major League Baseball on Monday.

Pitchers and catchers will work out for the first time on Feb. 19. The first full-squad workout will be on Feb. 24 at the Rangers complex in Surprise, Ariz., that they share with the Royals.

This will be the 14th Spring Training for the two clubs in Surprise. The clubs have combined to win four of the last six American League pennants.

The two teams will also face off in their first two Cactus League games. Those are scheduled for March 2-3 at Surprise Stadium. The two teams also play in San Antonio on March 18-19.
