Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.San Francisco Giants Minor League shortstop Robert Antunez has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for a metabolite of Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.
 
The suspension of Antunez, who is currently on the roster of Dominican Summer League Giants, will be effective at the start of the 2016 DSL season.
 
Free agent Minor League right-handed pitcher Ely Echarry has received a 50-game suspension without pay for refusing to take a drug test. The suspension of Echarry will be effective upon his signing with another Major League organization.
