Lunch with Glavine part of SU2C auction

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Opportunities to dine with Hall of Famer Tom Glavine or share a unique Spring Training experience with family members stand among the Braves-related items available in Major League Baseball's annual Stand Up To Cancer Auction.

Auction items for all 30 teams will be available through Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.

This auction initiative has raised nearly $500,000 since its inception four years ago, and a significant portion of the proceeds from this year's event will go to Stand Up To Cancer, a longtime partner of Major League Baseball, its founding donor in 2008. In addition, this year's auction will benefit Do It For Durrett, in honor of late Texas Rangers ESPN.com reporter Richard Durrett, who passed away suddenly last year, and the YouCaring page established for Miami Marlins Sun Sentinel beat writer Juan C. Rodriguez, who is currently battling a brain tumor.

Braves auction items include:

Lunch with Hall of Famer Tom Glavine
The winning bidder and three guests will earn the chance to have lunch with Glavine at a mutually agreed upon date at an Atlanta restaurant.

Braves Family Fun Special
This winning bidder for this item will receive four one-day "park-hopper" passes to Disney World, as well as four tickets to a mutually agreed-upon Braves Spring Training game at ESPN's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., with a pregame batting practice experience and a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with manager Fredi Gonzalez and various players.
