The Twins have already been active this offseason, acquiring catcher John Ryan Murphy from the Yankees for center fielder Aaron Hicks. They also won the bid for Park and officially signed him to a four-year deal worth $12 million for him to be the club's everyday designated hitter.
Trading Hicks was a bit of a surprise, and Ryan could make another trade for relief help, as third baseman Trevor Plouffe remains the club's top trade chip. Ryan has maintained the Twins would like to keep Plouffe and move Miguel Sano to the outfield, but he's expected to at least listen to offers on Plouffe.
