Prospect German non-tendered by Yankees

NEW YORK -- The Yankees non-tendered right-handed pitching prospect Domingo German on Wednesday, reducing the number of players on the club's 40-man roster to 39.

German, 23, missed all of the 2015 season due to Tommy John surgery, and he has compiled a 2.33 ERA in 77 games (44 starts) over five Minor League seasons.

He was acquired by the Yankees from the Marlins on Dec. 19, 2014, along with right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and outfielder Garrett Jones in exchange for infielder Martin Prado and right-hander David Phelps.
