The A's promoted two members of their front office Friday, naming Billy Owens assistant general manager/director of player personnel and Dan Feinstein assistant general manager, pro scouting and player personnel.
Next season will be Owens' 18th with Oakland and his 13th in player personnel. He previously spent five seasons as a Minor League hitting coach and area scout for the A's from 1999-2003, before being named director of player personnel in '04.
Feinstein is in his fifth season of his second go-around with Oakland. He was previously with the A's from 1994-2004, before working with the Dodgers in '05 and Rays for six seasons, then returning to Oakland in '11.
