Dodgers plan operations for Grandal, Turner

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner and catcher Yasmani Grandal will undergo operations this week.

On Wednesday, Grandal will have arthroscopic surgery on the A/C joint in his arthritic left shoulder, which limited his hitting for most of the second half of the regular season.

On Thursday, Turner will have arthroscopic surgery to clean up loose bodies in his left knee. During the season, the Dodgers believed Turner had a mere bone bruise in the knee.

Both procedures will be performed in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, and both players are expected to be ready for Spring Training.
