Prior to tonight's game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox recalled infielder Micah Johnson from Class AAA Charlotte.
Johnson, 24, made the White Sox 2015 Opening Day roster, hitting .270 (20-74) with two doubles, three RBI, eight runs scored and three stolen bases in 27 games before being optioned to Charlotte on May 14.
The 6-foot, 210-pound Johnson batted .315 (98-311) with 17 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 36 RBI, 54 runs scored and 28 stolen bases in 78 games with the Knights this season. He finished the season tied for fifth in the International League in steals. Johnson entered the season rated by Baseball America as the No. 4 Prospect and Fastest Baserunner in the White Sox system.
Following the move, the White Sox active roster increases to 31.
