The TORONTO BLUE JAYS will open the home portion of the 2016 Championship Season on Friday April 8 at 7:07 pm with the commencement of a three-game series vs. AL East division rivals, the Boston Red Sox. The first homestand is a 6-game, 7-day affair that will also feature the New York Yankees (April 12-14).
The Blue Jays 40th season in the American League begins on Monday April 4 at Tropicana Field where the club will open with four contests vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. The club will face all four AL East rivals within the first 18 days of April with an early visit to Boston and Baltimore (April 15-21).
Interleague play will see the Los Angeles Dodgers (May 6-8), Philadelphia Phillies (June 13-14), Arizona Diamondbacks (June 21-22) and San Diego Padres (July 25-27) make a visit to Toronto during the 2016 season. The Blue Jays will play 10 interleague games on the road with games against the San Francisco Giants (May 9-11), Philadelphia Phillies (June 15-16), Colorado Rockies (August 27-29) and Arizona Diamondbacks (July 19-20).
The club will close out the home schedule with an all AL East 7-game homestand with the Yankees (Sept 23-26) and Orioles (Sept 27-29) before embarking on the final road trip.
