Drew Stubbs started in center field and hit leadoff.
"We'll see how Delino is tomorrow," Banister said. "This is more preventative, I would say, than anything else."
• Texas activated reliever Tanner Scheppers on Sunday, as expected. Scheppers, who had been pitching at Triple-A Round Rock after returning from left knee inflammation, joined the team in Anaheim on Saturday.
"It's something that's manageable, it's just something I have to take care of on a daily basis," Scheppers said of his knee. He said he expected his knee to get better with rest during the offseason, but he can pitch through any lingering discomfort.
• Reliever Ross Ohlendorf, who was unavailable in Friday's series opener with soreness in the back of his right shoulder, warmed up during Saturday's game and was available Sunday.
• Catcher Robinson Chirinos (left shoulder strain) is slated to catch nine innings for Round Rock on Sunday, the first time he will have done so in his rehab.
