RHP Tanner Scheppers recalled from Round Rock

Anaheim, CA - The Texas Rangers announced today that right-handed pitcher Tanner Scheppers has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock and will be active for today's game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Scheppers is 0-2 with a 1.93 ERA and 2 saves in 13 games with Round Rock in 2015. He is 4-1 with a 5.66 ERA in 37 games with the Rangers this season.

Scheppers opened the year on the 15-day DL with a right ankle sprain before being activated on April 17. He had an 11.25 ERA in 5 games before being optioned to Round Rock on April 27. Scheppers was recalled by the Rangers on May 17 and went back on the DL on August 2 with left knee inflammation. He was activated and optioned to Round Rock on August 19.

With the addition of Scheppers, Texas has 32 players on its active roster.
