A's Recall LHP Sean Nolin from Triple-A Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled left-handed pitcher Sean Nolin from Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.

Nolin was 2-2 with a 2.66 ERA in 14 games, including 12 starts, with the Sounds. He allowed a .230 opponents batting average in a season shortened by two stints on the disabled list. The 25-year-old left-hander began the season on the Oakland DL as he continued to recover from off-season bilateral core surgery. Nolin was reinstated and optioned to Nashville May 15, and also spent time on the Triple-A DL from July 1 to Aug. 14 with a strained left shoulder. He went 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA over his final four starts following his second DL stint.
