Indians organization 'A great place to work and play'

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland Indians proudly announce their selection as a 2015 NorthCoast 99 Winner - one of the best workplaces in Northeast Ohio. The organization now is a five-time NorthCoast 99 winner and was the first professional sports franchise to earn this prestigious award in 2009.

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors 99 great workplaces for top talent in Northeast Ohio. The program was developed and is presented by the Employer's Resource Council (ERC).

"We are honored to receive this recognition for the fifth time," said Sara Lehrke, Indians Vice President of Human Resources. "The Cleveland Indians culture is driven by core values that foster an environment in which people aspire to contribute and excel. We have a diverse workforce, members of which directly contribute to our vision of Creating Memories, Connecting Generations and Celebrating Families."

ERC is Northeast Ohio's leading and largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, programs and services. Since 1999, hundreds of organizations have been nominated and applied for the award, and the program has recognized more than 300 organizations for their ability to maintain great workplaces that support the attraction, retention and motivation of Top Performers.
