September 11 is Law Enforcement Night at Safeco Field

Special ticket offer and donation to National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Moment of silence pregame for MLB-wide "We Shall Never Forget" 9/11 observance

The Seattle Mariners salute the men and women who serve and protect our communities at Law Enforcement Night at Safeco Field on Friday, September 11, when the Mariners meet the Colorado Rockies.

Specially priced tickets are available online-only at Mariners.com/LawEnforcement. The price is $17 for View Level (normally $21) and $33 for Main Level (normally $39). The deadline to purchase tickets through this special offer is noon, Thursday, September 10.

Each ticket purchased through this offer will include a donation to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Founded in 1984, the Fund is dedicated to honoring and remembering the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers in the United States. The non-profit organization maintains a national monument in Washington D.C. that is dedicated to law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. In addition, the organization also conducts research into officer fatality trends and serves as an information clearinghouse.

During a pregame ceremony, the Mariners will pay tribute to the first responders who served in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. There will be a moment of silence in conjunction with the Major League Baseball-wide "We Shall Never Forget" observance. The ceremonial first pitch will be delivered by Howard Ferrucci, a long-time volunteer for the American Red Cross who planned and managed logistics for feeding the thousands of responders at the Twin Towers and other locations in New York and New Jersey that were part of the response, as well as assistance centers for grieving family members.

Captain Keith Taylor of the Marysville Fire Department will sing the National Anthem pregame and God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch. Flags will be presented by the I Corps Command Honor Guard from Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
