D-backs make 4 roster moves

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled right-handed pitchers Allen Webster (@11webster11) and A.J. Schugel (@Schug_Knight) from Triple-A Reno, selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Silvino Bracho (@silvinobracho) from Double-A Mobile and optioned left-handed pitcher Andrew Chafin to Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

Webster, 25, will make is fifth start with Arizona today. He is 1-1 with a 6.86 ERA (16 ER in 21.0 IP) in 5 games (4 starts) with the D-backs this season. In 14 starts with the Aces, he was 3-6 with an 8.37 ERA (66 ER in 71.0 IP).

Schugel, 26, has combined to go 9-9 with a 4.84 ERA (62 ER in 115.1 IP) in 21 starts with Mobile and Reno. In his last 11 starts, he was 5-4 with a 3.02 ERA (20 ER in 59.2 IP). Schugel appeared in 1 game with Arizona this season, throwing 3.0 innings of relief on April 12 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers.

Bracho, 23, was as combined 2-1 with 19 saves, a 1.27 ERA (7 ER in 49.2 IP), 10 walks and 71 strikeouts in 42 games with Single-A Visalia and Mobile in 2015. He last limited opponents to a .181 average (32-for-177), including a .149 average vs. righties, and has posted a 0.95 ERA (3 ER in 28.1 IP) in his final 24 appearances.

Bracho, who was named to the 2014 Midwest League postseason All-Star Team, has gone 8-5 with 64 saves and a 1.40 ERA (23 ER in 147.1 IP), 26 walks and 209 strikeouts (8.04 SO per BB) in 133 relief appearances in the D-backs' organization. He was signed as a Minor League free agent on Aug. 9, 2011 out of Venezuela.

Chafin, 25, is 5-1 with 2 saves and a 2.41 ERA (18 ER in 67.1 IP) in 55 relief appearances with the D-backs this season.
