The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced that the Monday, August 3 postponed game vs. the Chicago Cubs has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 15 as part of a split doubleheader at PNC Park. The first game will begin at 1:35 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled game at 7:05 p.m.
Fans attending the afternoon game will be required to exit the ballpark following the final out of the game and gates for the 7:05 p.m. game will open at 6 p.m., just over one hour prior to first pitch of the night cap. The Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club will be open at 5 p.m. for guests arriving early to the ballpark.
Tickets from the August 3 postponed game are now good for the 1:35 p.m. game on September 15.
In addition, and subject to availability, fans may also exchange tickets from the August 3 rained out game for any remaining game during the Cubs series, September 15 thru 17, including the night game of the split doubleheader date or the Thursday, September 10 matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fans who would like to exchange tickets from the Monday, August 3 game may do so in person at the PNC Park Ticket Office or by mailing the August 3 game ticket to: PITTSBURGH PIRATES Ticket Office, P.O. All fans holding pre-paid parking passes from the August 3 postponed game can use those passes for the rescheduled 1:35 p.m. game on September 15.
ROOT Sports Pittsburgh will televise both games of the September 15 doubleheader. In addition, ESPN will telecast the regularly scheduled 7:05 p.m. game nationally outside of the Pittsburgh and Chicago markets.
The September 15 split doubleheader will be only the second split doubleheader in the 15 seasons of play at PNC Park. The only other split doubleheader at PNC Park occurred on July 28, 2001 vs. Houston.
