McLouth came into Spring Training relatively healthy, but he played in only two Grapefruit League games because of a sore shoulder and has been on the disabled list the entire 2015 season. Two sources said McLouth recently had a cleanup in the shoulder, but he should be OK for next season.
McLouth signed a two-year, $10.75 million deal with the Nationals in December 2013 with an option for a third year. The option is worth $6.5 million, but the team will likely buy him out for $750,000.
McLouth played 79 games for the Nationals and hit .173 with a home run and seven RBIs.
