Giants welcome Cubs and Cardinals to town

Homestand features: Indian Heritage Night, Fellowship Day, and Pixar Day at the Park

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - The 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants return home for a six-game homestand against the Chicago Cubs (August 25-27) and the St. Louis Cardinals (August 28-30).

Tuesday, August 25, is Indian Heritage Night at AT&T Park. Cultural performances and entertainment will take place on the field and in the Plazas for fans to enjoy before the game. Proceeds from each special event ticket sold will go directly back to the National Federation of Indian American Associations (NFIA) and the Federation of Indo-American Associations of California (FIANC). Runner's Night will also take place on Tuesday to celebrate the 2015 San Francisco Giant Race participants and their families. Special event ticket holders will receive a custom Giant Race/Project Open Hand Apron.

It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Giants Pregame Live, and Giants Postgame Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts. The first 500 fans who come to Willie Mays Plaza and get in line at the Comcast SportsNet tent will receive an Orange Blanket.

Wednesday, August 26, is College Night at AT&T Park. College students will be offered a specially priced ticket to the game against the Cubs. It is also Union Night in which groups of 25 of more will get special acknowledgment during the game on the scoreboard for no extra cost. In addition, it is the second Singles Night of the year. Special event ticket holders will receive access to the pre-game Singles Party on the Flight Deck of the Virgin America Club Level from 5:15-7:00 p.m., a voucher for one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, as well as a seat in the special section for the game. 

Friday, August 28, is Bill Graham Tribute Night in San Francisco. Special event ticket holders will receive a collector's edition Bill Graham/Giants Fedora, and a ticket to the game against the Cardinals. Partial proceeds from the event will help support the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation, which gives grants in the area of music, the arts, and education, while also supporting social work, environmental protection, and spiritual and compassionate projects in our community.  

It is also the second Wine Fest of the year presented by Storer San Francisco. The special event ticket package includes a ticket to the game versus the Cardinals, access to the pre-game party in Seals Plaza from 5:00-7:00 p.m., a complimentary tasting card and a limited edition 2014 World Champion Wine Stopper.

Saturday, August 29, is the annual Dog Days of Summer presented by Zynga. Special event ticket holders are invited to bring their dogs to the game, and participate in the pre-game parade and costume contest. In addition, The Yard will host dog grooming and adoption trucks from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and movie night from 8:00-10:30 p.m. A portion of each Dog Days ticket will benefit the SF SPCA.

It is also Fellowship Day in community partnership with William Jessup University, Salvation Army, K-Love, and Spirit West Coast. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a limited edition Fellowship-themed Giants T-shirt. Following the game, fans are invited to listen to the players give their testimonials about how faith has played a beneficial role in their personal and professional lives. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will go back to the Salvation Army. In addition on Saturday, Junior Giants Willie Mac coaches and team parent recognition will take place during the home plate ceremony.

On Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, Marty Lurie and Patrick Connor will broadcast live from the patio at Public House, leading up to the Giants pre-game show on KNBR 680.

Sunday, August 30, is Pixar Day at the Park. Special event ticket holders will receive a ticket to the game versus the Cardinals and a Pixar-themed Giants T-shirt. Pre-game entertainment celebrating Pixar's most treasured films and characters will take place on the field prior to the game, and following the conclusion of the game, special event ticket holders will be invited down on to the field to watch a Disney/Pixar film. In addition, VIP ticket holders will receive a limited-edition Concept Art Print, used in the making of Disney/Pixar Film "Inside Out". VIP ticket holders will also have access to the Triples Alley pre-game party from 10:35 a.m.-12:35 p.m., with live entertainment and complimentary food and beverages. This event will feature a Q&A panel, highlighted by Chief Creative Officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, John Lasseter. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket sold will benefit local non-profits in the community.

Additionally on Sunday, all kids 14-years and younger are invited to run the bases following the game, presented by See's Candies. Sunday is also the Giants official autograph day, when two players, coaches, or alumni sign autographs following the conclusion of batting practice. Autographs are for kids 16 and under.
