D-backs recall Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled left-handed pitcher Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

To make room for Reynolds, the D-backs optioned left-handed pitcher Keith Hessler to Reno following last night's game.

Reynolds, 30, has not pitched in the Major Leagues since June 9, 2013 vs. Giants after missing all of 2014 due to Tommy John surgery. In 45 games with the Aces this season, he is 3-6 with a 5.58 ERA (31 ER in 50.0 IP).

Hessler, 26, was 0-1 with a 15.19 ERA (9 ER in 5.1 IP) in 8 games with the D-backs in 2015. He made his Major League debut on Aug. 8 vs. Reds with 1.0 scoreless innings.
