White Sox celebrate annual 'Sox Serve Week'

Seventh year of fundraising campaign on August 24-30 features seven days of serving and giving through seven community events

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox celebrate Sox Serve Week - its seventh annual fundraising and community outreach campaign formerly known as Charities Week - during each day of the team's upcoming homestand that runs from Monday, August 24 through Sunday, August 30. Presented in partnership with Magellan Corporation, MillerCoors and Wintrust Financial, Sox Serve Week engages the Sox fan base - near and far - through community outreach events featuring current players and special fundraising opportunities including auctions and more.

Since its inception, the annual week-long fundraising campaign has raised a combined total of more than $1 million for Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC).

"We are excited to once again provide unique opportunities and experiences for our fans and the community during Sox Serve Week," said Christine O'Reilly, executive director of Chicago White Sox Charities. "For the past six years, our fans have proven their generosity by supporting our various initiatives during this campaign. We are looking forward to working alongside some great organizations this year as we give back to the Chicagoland community."
