The Marlins return home tomorrow for an eight-game homestand, beginning with a four-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies. Following the series, Miami will kick off a four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, August 24. The Marlins return home following a six-game road trip to St. Louis and Milwaukee.
The Marlins invite fans to celebrate their school colors at College Colors Night on Friday, August 21. Fans who purchase the VIP special event package receive a game ticket and a Marlins T-shirt in the University's colors of the fan's choice. Also on Friday, fans can purchase $1 Kayem Beef Franks all game as part of the second dollar dog night at Marlins Park of 2015. Then on Saturday, Marlins Park will host South Florida Ford Dominican Heritage Night, presented by The Dominican Republic Has It All. Fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a game ticket and a Marlins Dominican Heritage T-shirt. Following the game, there will be a post-game merengue dance party with live entertainment in the Clevelander at Marlins park as part of Dominican Heritage Night.
The weekend wraps up with Dontrelle Willis and Juan Pierre Day on Sunday, as both former Marlins greats will be honored at Marlins Park to celebrate their Major League careers. Former teammates and coaches will be on hand for the recognition. The first 10,000 fans will receive either a Dontrelle Willis "D-Train" T-shirt or Juan Pierre "JP" T-shirt courtesy of Miccosukee Resort & Gaming.
In addition, the Marlins look to raise awareness for several great causes during the homestand, hosting Latter Day Saints Night (August 20), Armed Forces Appreciation Night (Aug. 22), Alzheimer's Awareness Day (Aug. 23), South Florida Heroes Mondays presented by Outback (Aug. 24) and Melanoma Research Foundation Night (Aug. 25).
