After a rough weekend, Mets reliever Bobby Parnell is headed to the disabled list, according to the New York Post. The club has not yet announced the move.
The 30-year-old right-hander has struggled this season, going 1-3 with a 5.59 ERA in 23 relief appearances. He had two of his worst outings this weekend against the Pirates, suffering two losses and allowing six runs (four earned) in just two-thirds of an inning.
In the corresponding roster move, the Mets promoted 25-year-old right-hander Logan Verrett from Triple-A Las Vegas.
