White Sox reinstate Emilio Bonifacio from disabled list; Option Leury Garcia to Class AAA Charlotte

CHICAGO - Prior to today's game vs. the Cubs, the Chicago White Sox optioned infielder Leury Garcia to Class AAA Charlotte and returned Emilio Bonifacio from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Charlotte and reinstated the infielder from the 15-day disabled list.

Bonifacio, 30, was placed on the disabled list on July 29 with a left oblique strain. He is hitting .169 (13-77) in 45 games with the White Sox this season after signing as a free agent on January 8.

Garcia, 24, is 2-6 (.333) in seven games over two stints with the Sox this season. He is batting .296 (86-291) with 15 doubles, one triple, one home run, 24 RBI, 40 runs scored and 28 stolen bases over 75 games with Charlotte in 2015.
