Dodgers Reinstate Justin Turner

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated infielder Justin Turner from the disabled list (right thigh skin infection) and optioned infielder Jose Peraza to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Turner last played on July 26 and has a .323 batting average with a career-high 13 home runs and 44 RBI in 87 games this year. Among National Leaguers with 250 or more at-bats, Turner ranks sixth in batting average, eighth in on-base percentage (.387) and fourth in slugging percentage (.563).

Peraza, who was acquired from Atlanta on July 30, made his Major League debut on Monday against Washington and appeared in two games for the Dodgers, going 1-for-6 with a triple.
