Rangers host Rays and Mariners in six-game homestand beginning Friday

Star Wars Weekend and Beltre Bobblehead highlight Tampa Bay series

The Texas Rangers will host the Tampa Bay Rays and Seattle Mariners during a six-game homestand that begins, TOMORROW, Friday, August 14.

The Rays make their only 2015 regular season appearance in Arlington with 7:05 p.m. games on Friday and Saturday, August 14-15 at 7:05 p.m. and a 2:05 p.m. matinee on Sunday, August 16.

Star Wars Weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow night, fans will be treated to a spectacular post-game Star Wars fireworks show presented by Takis. On Saturday, the first 10,000 fans, 14 years or age and older, that enter Globe Life Park for the 7:05 p.m. Rangers-Rays game will receive a Rangers-Themed Star Wars T-Shirt presented by Takis. There will be four different shirts distributed randomly: Rangers position players, pitchers, legends, and memorable franchise moments. In addition, Star Wars characters featuring members of the local Star Wars fan organization, 501st-Star Garrison will be on hand at Globe Life Park on Friday and Saturday.

The series concludes on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. with a giveaway featuring a Rangers Star as the first 15,000 fans will get a Medical Center Arlington Adrian Beltre Bobblehead. In addition, country music star Pat Green will be signing autographs in the Captain Morgan Club beginning in the fourth inning. Fans will be able to purchase Green's new CD Home for just $5.00 each at Globe Life Park during all six games of the homestand. 

The Mariners will be in Arlington for the second of three 2015 series, Monday and Tuesday, August 17-18 at 7:05 p.m. and Wednesday, August 19 at 1:05 p.m. The first 7,500 youngsters, 13 and under will receive a Back to School Backpack on Tuesday and Wednesday is Dollar Hot Dog Day.
