White Sox celebrate Orgullo Sox Night, presented by Pepsi

White Sox invite fans who share the same surname as players to purchase discounted tickets

The Chicago White Sox will celebrate Hispanic heritage with Orgullo Sox Night, presented by Pepsi on Tuesday, August 11 at 7:10 p.m. against the Los Angeles Angels.

Fans who share the same surname as any White Sox player, including Jose Abreu, Melky Cabrera, Avisail Garcia, Alexei Ramirez, Carlos Sanchez as well as other players on the team, can purchase $14 Outfield Reserved tickets for the game. Specially priced tickets are available at whitesox.com/orgullo. Fans seated in these sections also will receive special Orgullo Sox Night rally towels (while supplies last).

In addition to discounted tickets, celebratory activities will be held throughout the day. Before the game, Univision Chicago will broadcast live from ChiSox Bar & Grill located at Gate 5 and Los Perros Cubanos - a band that plays traditional Cuban music from the 1940's to today - will perform at Gate 4. A pregame parade honoring the flags of Latin American countries will be held, followed by the National Anthem performed by a mariachi band. Univision Chicago anchor Enrique Rodriguez will throw a ceremonial first pitch. Fans also are invited to stop by the Orgullo Sox Night party shop in Section 159 to purchase flags of Latino countries and other items.

Fans are encouraged to share and follow the Orgullo Sox Night experience on social media using the hashtag #YoSoyWhiteSox. Fans also can connect with the White Sox through the team's Spanish-language Facebook page (facebook.com/orgullosox) and Twitter (@MediasBlancas), which has all the latest news and ticket information.
