Bass (#63) has allowed 5 runs in 4.1 innings in 2 appearances for Round Rock since being optioned by Texas on July 27. He opened the year in the Express rotation before moving to the bullpen. Jackson leads the club in appearances, is second in strikeouts, and has held left-handed hitters to a .185 batting average.
Jackson is in his fifth pro season after being the 45th overall selection (supplemental round) by Texas in the 2010 First Year Player Draft. He had been used almost exclusively as a starter prior to this season.
Claudio had not seen action since his recall from Round Rock on July 29. He is 1-1, 2.87 in 18 appearances over his three stints with Texas this season, Klein allowed 2 runs in 0.1 innings on Wednesday versus Houston in his only outing since his August 2 recall from Round Rock. He is 1-0, 6.75 in 11 games/2 starts over 4 stints with the Rangers in 2015.
In addition, left-handed pitcher Wandy Rodriguez has cleared release waivers and is now a free agent. Rodriguez was designated for assignment on July 29 and was placed on release waivers on August 4.
