Announcers on Deck at the Phillies Game on August 4

Tom McCarthy, Matt Stairs and Ben Davis To Call Phillies Game In Stands Beside Phillies Dugout

The Phillies broadcasting team of Tom McCarthy, Matt Stairs and Ben Davis will call the game from a special location near the on-deck circle on Tuesday, August 4th against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The game airs on Comcast SportsNet at 7 p.m.

This special booth location provides the broadcasters with a unique view of the game, the players and the ballpark. Last season, the broadcast location was moved to the outfield, where Phillies play-by-play voice Tom McCarthy caught a home run ball hit by Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves.

"This is not only a fun experience for our broadcasters, but it also gives our viewers a unique perspective on the game," said Dave Buck, Phillies Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Sales.

"I think each of us is excited about the opportunity to call this baseball game from the stands," said McCarthy. "Last year's game was an amazing experience, one of the best I have ever had as a baseball broadcaster. The atmosphere, the energy, and the opportunity to catch a home run ball was unbelievable. This year, the field level perspective we will have will be filled with adrenaline."
