World Cup hero Carli Lloyd to throw out first pitch at Safeco Field August 11

Ticket special and limited edition T-shirt available for Women's Soccer fans

Carli Lloyd, two-time Olympic gold medalist in soccer and hero of the U.S. Women's National Team 2015 World Cup soccer win will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Seattle Mariners take on the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, August 11 at Safeco Field.

Soccer fans can buy specially priced tickets for the game and receive a limited edition T-shirt that celebrates the U.S. Women's National Team's 5-2 win against Japan for its third World Cup title. Specially priced tickets are $16 for View Level (regularly $23) and $30 for Main Level (regularly $42). Tickets are only available online at mariners.com/soccer. Deadline to purchase tickets through the offer is 2pm, Tuesday, August 11.

Lloyd received the Golden Ball trophy as the best player of the World Cup tournament and earned the Silver Boots for her six goals (three of which came in the title game) and one assist during the World Cup competition. Lloyd is a midfielder with the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League. The Dash will be in Seattle to play the Seattle Reign FC on Wednesday, August 12 at Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium.
