Manager John Farrell said Holt is day to day.
"He hyper-extended his knee and it gained some tightness throughout the game," Farrell said. "We got him off his feet. We'll check him tomorrow. We don't feel like this will be a time-missed situation."
Weeks was called up to the Majors on Sunday to provide infield depth after second baseman Dustin Pedroia went on the disabled list Saturday. In his first big league at-bat of the year, Weeks singled and came around to score.
Holt, an All-Star this season, started all three games of Boston's series against Detroit at second base in Pedroia's absence.
