Phillies at the plate: Ryan Howard laced a two-run single in the first and Aaron Rowand followed with an RBI single. Philadelphia added its fourth run in the sixth when Pat Burrell singled. Pinch-runner Peter Bergeron eventually scored on sacrifice fly by Peter Bergeron. Howard belted his 11th homer of the spring, a solo blast in the eighth.
Boston opens its season in Texas on Monday at 2:05 p.m. Curt Schilling gets the nod for Boston, while Kevin Millwood starts for the Rangers.
