at Anaheim
Saturday, April 1

Dodgers at the plate: Jason Repko and Jose Cruz Jr. each doubled, and the Dodgers were limited to five hits. The Dodgers left five men on base.

Angels at the plate: Rookie catcher Jeff Mathis went 2-for-3 with a double to the right-center-field wall in the seventh. The Angels hit into three double plays in the first four innings.

Dodgers on the mound: Chad Billingsley, the Dodgers prospect who will be the Opening Day starter for Triple-A Las Vegas, surrendered just four hits in five scoreless innings. Jae Seo and Tim Hamaluck each pitched a perfect inning of relief.

Angels on the mound: Kelvim Escobar pitched six shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out six in his best of three spring starts. Brendan Donnelly, Scot Shields and Francisco Rodriguez each worked a flawless inning, and Esteban Yan pitched a scoreless 10th.

Up next: The Angels host the Dodgers at Angel Stadium in the final Spring Training game for both teams. Right-hander Ervin Santana, 3-0 in Spring Training, opposes Dodgers right-hander Brett Tomko, also 3-0 this spring.
