2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game #FINALVOTE Approaches Record

Fan balloting is about to set another record, spurred by the annual team alliances now in full joint campaign mode, as the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote (#FinalVote) passed the 70 million mark, rapidly approaching the all-time record of 79.2 million (2013). Day two saw significant movement through voting exclusively on MLB.com and the Club sites.

Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez, scheduled to pitch tonight, made a big move to pass Troy Tulowitzki for second place in the wide-open National League race. Overall, Johnny Cueto of the All-Star host Cincinnati Reds leads with 7.5 million votes, topping the standings where the top four players remain separated by one percent. In the AL, Minnesota's Brian Dozier homered and stole two bases on Wednesday, helping the Twins second baseman tally nearly four million votes yesterday alone to close the gap on leader, Mike Moustakas. The Kansas City third baseman now has 11.8 million votes.
