But when his spot in the batting order came up in the top of the fifth inning, Alex Guerrero was sent up to pinch-hit and Joel Peralta replaced Bolsinger on the mound for the bottom of the fifth. Bolsinger allowed three hits with four strikeouts and 48 pitches.
Bolsinger thought a meal he had over the weekend in Miami might be responsible. He received an IV before the game.
"That'll teach me to never eat oysters," Bolsinger said.
Bolsinger, purchased from Arizona last winter, was making his 11th start as the rotation replacement for another former D-Back, Brandon McCarthy, who is out for the season with Tommy John surgery.
