Right-handed starter Colin Rea allowed three hits and two walks over seven shutout innings for Double-A San Antonio on Tuesday night. Rea, 24, the Padres' 12th-round pick in the 2011 Draft, moved into the lead of the Texas League ERA race with the effort.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Rea also had two strikeouts Tuesday as he evened his record to 2-2 and lowered his ERA to 1.06.

Rea, the Padres' No. 15 prospect, has allowed 44 hits and 11 walks with 55 strikeouts in 68 innings over 11 starts this season for the Missions. In three starts since missing almost a month due to back spasms, Rea has allowed no runs on seven hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts in 16 innings.

Left-hander Cory Luebke made his first rehab appearance for the Missions and allowed a two-run homer in an inning. He gave up two runs on the one hit and two walks with two strikeouts.

Right-hander Tayron Guerrero (3.88 ERA) picked up his seventh save in the Missions' 5-2 win at Corpus Christi with a strikeout in a perfect inning. It was San Antonio's second straight win over the hottest team in the Texas League.

Left fielder Yeison Asencio (.308) was 3-for-5 with his fifth home run and three RBIs. Second baseman Casey McElroy (.260) was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Lake Elsinore right-handed pitcher Eric Yardley retired two hitters around a walk to finish the California League's 9-2 win in the high Class A California-Carolina All-Star Game at Rancho Cucamonga.

Fort Wayne left fielder Nick Torres was 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored in the East's 5-0 win over the West in the Midwest League All-Star Game at Peoria, Ill. TinCaps left-handed pitcher Thomas Dorminy struck out the only hitter he faced.

TRIPLE-A EL PASO (36-35): CHIHUAHUAS 8, Albuquerque 5 -- 3B Cody Decker (.273) was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs (giving him 47 on the season) with a run scored. SS Ramiro Pena (.321) had two doubles in four at-bats with two RBIs and a run scored. C Rocky Gale (.304) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. LF Alex Dickerson (.314) was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk for two runs scored. Starting LHP Jason Lane (6-4, 4.59 ERA) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and five walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. RHP Jerry Sullivan (2.13) struck out four in three perfect innings to get his first save.

HIGH CLASS A LAKE ELSINORE (31-39): The Storm is off until Thursday for the California League's All-Star break.

LOW CLASS A FORT WAYNE (32-36): The TinCaps are off until Thursday for the Midwest League All-Star break.

SHORT-SEASON CLASS A TRI CITY (3-3): Vancouver 4, DUST DEVILS 2 -= 1B Ty France (.235), the Padres' 34th-round pick out of San Diego State, was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, a steal and a RBI. Starting RHP Walker Lockett (2.70 ERA) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings. RHP Cecil Tanner (0-1, 2.45)allowed a run on two hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings to suffer the loss.

ARIZONA ROOKIE PADRES (1-2): Dodgers 14, PADRES 8 -- DH Benji Gonzalez (.429) was 3-for-3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored. LF Jhonathan Pena (.385) was 1-for-4 with a three-run homer. RF Ronaldo Contreras (.308) was 2-for-5. RHP Joe church struck out one in a perfect rehab inning. RHP Starling Ynfante (0-1) allowed seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in three innings.

DOMINICAN SUMMER LEAGUE PADRES (11-10): PADRES 8, Diamondbacks 2 -- Starting RHP Emmanuel Clase (1-0, 1.02 ERA) allowed two unearned runs on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings. RHP Jonathan Guzman (1.35) struck out four in three perfect innings. RF Aurelio Perez (.308) was 2-for-3 with a steal, two RBIs and a run scored. 1B Leudy Molina (.308) was 3-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored. DH Manuel Vizcaino (.183) was 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks, a RBI and two runs scored.
