The Storm Chasers had an interesting night as their game was scoreless into the 10th inning. Paulo Orlando scored on a sac fly by Casey Kotchman, with the game delayed for one hour and 28 minutes in the home half of the 10th. Buddy Baumann fanned six over 4.0 innings, allowing just one hit and one walk. Matt Murray followed with 4.0 scoreless frames in his Triple-A debut.

The Naturals were swept in a doubleheader at Springfield. Kris Medlen made his first rehab appearance in game one, yielding three runs (one earned), four hits and no walks with five strikeouts over 4.0 innings. The veteran, who is recovering from "Tommy John" surgery, threw 60 pitches, 39 for strikes. Raul Mondesi hit a two-run homer in the third and Jorge Bonifacio belted a three-run shot in the seventh, which gave the Naturals a 9-6 lead. Springfield forced extras with three in the home half, then won in nine in-nings. Northwest Arkansas built a 4-0 lead in game two, with Springfield scoring all nine runs on a trio of three-run homers in the fourth. Miguel Almonte pitched 3.0 innings plus a batter, allowing a run while striking out five. Zane Evans posted two doubles, an RBI and a run.

Wilmington clinched the first-half division title despite losing on Friday as Lynchburg was also defeated. Frederick overtook the Blue Rocks with four runs in the seventh. Yender Caramo carried a shutout into his final frame, allowing two runs, five hits and no walks with three strikeouts over 6.2 innings. Ramon Torres opened the third with a double, then scored on a two-base hit by Santiago Nessy.

Mike Hill hit a walk-off homer in the 10th as Lexington won game one vs. Rome. The Legends overcame a four-run first by the Braves. Emilio Ogando worked the final 5.2 innings, allowing an unearned run. Samir Duenez posted two hits, a walk and two runs.

The Chukars lost 16-12 after a 16-10 defeat on Thursday. Fifth-round pick Roman Collins was 4-for-4 plus a walk, two RBI and a run. Luis Valenzuela went 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Amalani Fukofuka added three hits, three runs and an RBI.
