Cleveland's Bourn disciplined

Indians Outfielder Receives One-Game Suspension

Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Bourn has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for making contact with Umpire Phil Cuzzi before the bottom of the fourth inning of the Club's Tuesday, June 16th game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Joe Garagiola, Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

Bourn's suspension had been scheduled to begin tonight, when the Indians are to host the Cubs at Progressive Field. However, he has elected to appeal. Thus, his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
