Huff was designated for assignment on Tuesday and will return to Oklahoma City, where he has appeared in six games, making two starts. Huff holds a 2.35 ERA in 23 innings for Oklahoma City this season.
The news comes on the heels of losing right-hander David Aardsma to free agency, as the right-hander exercised an opt-out in his Minor League contract on Thursday. The veteran didn't see action in Majors this season for Los Angeles and signed a contract with Atlanta on Saturday.
Santos held a 4.73 ERA in his first season in Los Angeles. He appeared in 12 games, throwing 13 1/3 innings with 15 strikeouts, allowing 13 hits and seven walks.
Huff made one start this season for the Dodgers, back on April 14, allowing four runs in four innings. His most recent stint with the club was earlier this week, as he threw one inning each on Monday and Tuesday against Colorado.
