Cubs-Royals game postponed due to rain

CHICAGO -- Saturday's game between the Cubs and Royals was postponed after a forecast called for more rain and cold temperatures through the evening at Wrigley Field.

The game will be made up on Monday, Sept. 28, at 7:05 p.m. CT on a mutual off-day. The Royals will be in town as they are scheduled to face the White Sox on the following day.

Cubs starter Tsuyoshi Wada and Royals right-hander Yordano Ventura, the scheduled starters for Saturday, are slated to start Sunday's finale at 1:20 p.m. CT.

Fans are encouraged to retain their tickets from the postponed game to use for the rescheduled contest.
