Twins Reinstate Fien From Disabled List

Option Michael Tonkin to Triple-A Rochester

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned right-handed pitcher Casey Fien from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester and reinstated him from the disabled list. Fien, who missed 25 games with a right shoulder strain, made three rehab appearances (1 start) for Triple-A Rochester, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings.

To make room for Fien on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Tonkin to Triple-A Rochester.
