Poway High graduate Alex Dickerson went 3-for-5 with a double Thursday night to raise his batting average to .320 for Triple-A El Paso.

Dickerson, 24, was acquired by the Padres on Nov. 25, 2013, in a trade that sent relief pitcher Miles Mikolas and outfielder Jaff Decker to the Pirates.

The 6-foot-3, left-handed-hitting outfielder missed most of last season following surgery at the end of Spring Training to remove a cyst from his left heel. Dickerson hit .321 in 34 games with Double-A San Antonio toward the end of the season. He had three homers and 24 RBIs in 137 at-bats.

Dickerson spent Spring Training in San Diego's Major League camp before being optioned to the Chihuahuas. He is 31-for-97 with El Paso, with three homers and 20 RBIs while primarily playing the corner-outfield spots.

Third baseman Brett Wallace (.302) was 2-for-3 with a RBI Thursday and first baseman Cody Decker (.267) was 2-for-4 as 19-16 El Paso suffered a 5-2 loss at Reno.

Right-hander Daniel McCutchen (0-3, 5.48 ERA) allowed three runs on five hits with three strikeouts in five innings. Left-hander Chris Rearick (10.20 ERA) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk with a strikeout in an inning.
