MIAMI -The Miami Marlins begin their third homestand on Friday, May 15, with a three-game weekend series against the Atlanta Braves. Then the Marlins will host the Arizona Diamondbacks for a four-game set, beginning on Monday, May 18. Miami wraps up their longest homestand of the season with a three-game, weekend set against the Baltimore Orioles, who make their first trip to South Florida since 2009.
The homestand features two fan giveaways as the first 5,000 kids, ages 12 and under, will receive a Giancarlo Stanton Growth Chart courtesy of FOX Sports Florida on Sunday, May 17 and a Marlins Kids Batting Practice Jacket courtesy of Stanley Tools on Sunday, May 24.
The Marlins will celebrate 70's Night on Friday, May 15, where fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a Lexus Legends Level game ticket, Marlins 70's Night T-shirt and meet-and-greet with Barry Williams, who starred as Greg Brady on The Brady Bunch. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The Marlins will also honor Missy Gotay-Cano as the club's 2015 Honorary Bat Girl winner. Then on Saturday, May 16, Charli XCX will perform postgame on the West Plaza as part of the Saturday Spectacular Concert Series. Also on Saturday, Marlins Park welcomes the 2015 Miami Dolphins rookie class; first-round pick (14th overall) DaVante Parker will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
On Thursday, May 21, the Marlins Foundation along with Marlins players, coaches and alumni invite fans to join them for the annual Fish N' Chips - Double or Nothing Casino Party. Guests will enjoy an evening filled with casino style games, dancing, food and drinks. Proceeds from this marquee event benefit the Marlins RBI program. Over the weekend, the Marlins will celebrate A Night In Havana (May 22) and Fitness Day (May 23). A Night in Havana will be the fifth theme night of the season and will celebrate Cuban Heritage. Fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a Lexus Legends Level game ticket, Havana Sugar Kings T-shirt and a meet-and-greet with Cuban Hall of Famers Tony Perez and Felo Ramirez. Then on Saturday, Marlins Park will host its inaugural Boot Camp Day, where fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a game ticket, pregame workout session in the West Plaza and Marlins sling bag.
