Omaha Storm Chasers (17-15)

The Storm Chasers lost game one against the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate. Clayton Mortensen held Round Rock scoreless on one hit through the first three innings, with the Express scoring seven times in the fourth. Chris Dwyer pitched 3.0 innings, fanning four, walking none and allowing one run. He has a 2.65 ERA (5 ER in 17.0 IP). Orlando Calixte led Omaha with two hits. Cheslor Cuthbert drove in Dusty Coleman for the lone run.

NW Arkansas Naturals (21-11)

The Naturals scored eight times over the final five innings to take a matinee finale at Arkansas. Mike Bianucci and Balbino Fuenmayor hit back-to-back homers in the sixth. Bianucci took over the Texas League lead with eight home runs. Terrance Gore went 2-for-4 with three runs and two stolen bases. He's now tied for second in league with 13 steals. Brandon Finnegan made the start, striking out four while allowing two walks and no hits over 2.1 scoreless innings. Sam Selman also worked 2.1 shutout frames, striking out five.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (16-15)

The Blue Rocks were blanked in game one vs. Potomac. Yender Caramo pitched well in defeat, facing the minimum through the fifth while carrying a shutout. He ultimately allowed two runs, five hits and a walk with one strikeout through 7.0 innings. Luis Rico retired six straight, including four strikeouts.

Lexington Legends (13-19) Kannapolis 7, Lexington 3

Lexington lost by a 7-3 count for a second straight day, finishing the homestand at 3-4. The Legends were held to three hits, though they drew seven walks. Wander Franco, Corey Toups and Chase Vallot each drove in a run. Jake Newberry pitched 3.0 scoreless innings in relief. The Legends are off today before a seven-game trip.
