The Storm Chasers played a third straight one-run game, losing the opener vs. Oklahoma City. Aaron Brooks had a solid start in defeat, striking out nine while holding the league's top team to two runs over 6.0 innings. Scott Alexander followed with 3.0 scoreless stanzas, allowing one hit. Lane Adams doubled home Cheslor Cuthbert in the eighth for Omaha's lone run. Casey Kotchman posted three hits, including a double.

The Naturals have lost two in a row after an 11-game winning streak. Jonathan Dziedzic struck out five while allowing five runs (four earned) over 5.0 innings. Ali Williams (2.0 IP) and Sam Selman (1.0 IP) recorded scoreless outings. Balbino Fuenmayor and Terrance Gore had two hits apiece. Fuenmayor upped his average to .343 (35-for-102). Luigi Rodriguez was the hitting star for Lynchburg, going 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI.
