Reds 1B Receives One-Game Suspension

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for making contact with Umpire Chris Conroy following the top of the third inning of the Club's Wednesday, May 6th game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Joe Garagiola, Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

Votto's suspension will be served tonight, when the Reds open up a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field.
