Pirates announce new partnership with Baierl Automotive

Pittsburgh area automotive group to be presenting partner of Friday Night Block Parties

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced a new partnership with the Wexford-based Baierl Automotive Group. The agreement names the group the presenting partner of the Pirates Friday Night Block Parties on Federal Street as well as a presenting partner of various segments on all 162 Pirates regular season radio broadcasts.

Baierl Automotive will present the 2015 Pirates Friday Night Block Parties that, beginning on Friday, May 22, take place on Federal Street prior to every Friday home game throughout the summer. Each Block Party includes a fun and festive atmosphere on Federal Street for all fans starting at 5:30 p.m. with music, food and more. As part of the agreement, Baierl will have the unique opportunity to add to the experience by showcasing several vehicles outside PNC Park each Friday.

"We really enjoy supporting the Greater Pittsburgh community and getting involved wherever we can," said Lee Baierl, President of Baierl Automotive. "The Pirates are a great organization to partner with and we look forward to a great season of fun with the fans at the Friday Night Block Parties and another great year of Pirates Baseball."

Baierl's agreement will also place the partner in prominent roles on the Pirates radio broadcasts as the automotive group is the presenting partner of the "League Leaders Stat of the Night," a timely statistic given by each game by a Pirates announcer. In addition, Baierl will be the presenting partner of Pirates Extra Innings throughout the season on all Pirates radio broadcasts on the 40 station Pirates Radio Network.

The Baierl partnership also includes signage throughout PNC Park as well as advertising placement on pirates.com.

In addition to 16 new car brands, Baierl Automotive also features service, parts and a complete collision center and offers convenient hours for busy shoppers just a short drive from the Pittsburgh and all Pennsylvania areas.
