White Sox send Jake Petricka to Class AAA Charlotte on injury rehabilitation assignment

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox have sent right-handed pitcher Jake Petricka to Class AAA Charlotte on an injury rehabilitation assignment.

Petricka, 26, has been on the disabled list since April 5 (retroactive to March 27) with a right forearm strain. He appeared in five games during spring training, allowing two runs on five hits over 4.2 IP (3.86 ERA). Petricka's last spring outing came on March 23 at San Diego.

Petricka went 1-6 with a 2.96 ERA (24 ER/73.0 IP), 14 saves and 55 strikeouts in 67 appearances as a rookie in 2014. He lead all major-league rookies in saves and ranked third in IP and appearances.
