Special First Pitch for Thursday's Astros Game

Courageous 15-year-old Dock Faglie will be surprised with first pitch opportunity

HOUSTON, TX - Albert Faglie, an inspirational, 15-year-old Astros fan, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Thursday afternoon's 1:10 pm. Astros game vs. the Cleveland Indians.

The first pitch opportunity will be a special surprise for Albert after he arrives at Minute Maid Park.

Albert, who is better known as Dock, is being recognized for the tremendous strength and courage that he has displayed in 2015. On January 4, Dock and a group of his friends were involved in a bonfire accident in which Dock suffered burns over most of his body. Due to the severity of his burns, Dock had to be air-lifted from an emergency room in Taylor, TX to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston, TX.

Dock sustained second and third degree burns on 70% of his total body surface area and has undergone multiple surgeries and skin-grafting procedures. As a result of the burns, Dock has been outfitted with innovative pressure garments designed to assist scarring.

Currently, Dock is participating in extensive rehabilitation and exercise programs and is on track to return home on Friday, April 10.

*Media Note - Since this will be a surprise for Dock, we ask media to report to the field at 12:30 p.m. for the first pitch. There will be interview opportunities following his first pitch.
