Team to watch
The Giants always seem to have more pitching coming through their system, and they have three promising arms on the high Class A San Jose Giants in right-handers Keury Mella and Tyler Beede and left-hander Luis Ysla. Two position players to watch in San Jose are Christian Arroyo, the system's best pure hitter, and second baseman/outfielder Austin Slater, who's making his full-season debut.

Twenty-nine of MLBPipeline.com's Giants Top 30 Prospects played in the system last year. The Giants are excited about the lone exception -- outfielder Gustavo Cabrera, one of the best all-around players on the international amateur market when he signed for $1.3 million in 2012. After making his pro debut in 2013, he suffered a terrible wrist injury when he fell at home and his right wrist went through a glass table. There were initial fears that he might lose his hand, but he returned to the diamond in instructional league last fall.
